A few of the highlights from the weekend at Warton..

Good quiz, a page full of catch Fraze's "say what you see" type thing, which resulted in joint winners; Jon & Rita and John & Margaret' a flick of a coin decided who the bottle of wine went too..

Liam, Isaac & Andrew metal detecting, digging up a number of items from bottle tops to a Horse shoe..

Most members sat out in the sun on Saturday, flagpole was at 6pm where there were 3 Birthdays - Katie soon to be 2yrs, Glenda 21 (again) and Alan 70, Following flagpole there was Birthday cake in the decorated communal tent followed be more sitting around in the sunshine, We had a visit from Julie, Stephen & Andrew and also Trev & Rowan..

Later in the evening we had 20 people in the communal tent, plenty of fun and games and Mike PJP loosing his chair every time he got up..

A well supported rally with 10 outfits in attendance..

Cracking weekend... Thanks John & Sue :-)

I agree, super rally, with "Hunt the Chair" in the tent, "Guess how many pieces of straw in the gateway", and "What should we do with the gold coins the kids dug up", and Mick wanted some persuading to let his Grandson have a go with the Parafoil!.

We had four antennas up, with two being brand new and home brew.
Geoff 2E0 worked into South America on six metres with an 80 metre dipole, and Jeoff G1 worked a shed load on his new home brew 17 metre antenna, whilst Ian worked all around Europe on his home brew Moxon.

Well done chaps, keep up the good work!

Rain, what rain, we didn't have time to notice. A great time was had by all, and one particular Lady, blagged my scotch with a promise of "you can try mine later". Well, could you refuse?

Well done John & Sue, great rally.

Thanks,

Jack

Thanks for your comments on the rally. I am pleased that you all enjoyed the week end. Releaved to count everyone in and even more pleased to see everyone leave site without the neccesity of towing them off. Tnx Paul for standingby. My next rally has been comfirmed, and will be at Meon View after what will be a 4yr break from the last time I ran it there. So, treat me again by setting aside the 4,5,6&7 th April 2008 when I and Sue will be pleased to welcome you.

73/88 de g4nwn & m John & Sue

Hi Folks, One very important thing you all have forgotten to mention is that to celebrate my 70th birthday, Tricia being the perfect wife brought along a young bird for the week end to keep me entertained
I must reiterate what as been said. A great rally thank you Sue and John.
